Tasting Notes

With its steely backbone and racy acidity, our 2022 Platinum Edition Arinto is a vibrant and expressive wine with layers of texture and complexity. Pale straw in colour with fragrant jazz apple and citrus on the nose and bright lime, melon and light phenolics on the palate.

Lime and melon with vibrant acidity which adds freshness and longevity to the wine, light phenolics add interest and length with a touch of beeswax.

Thai green curry, octopus with balsamic tomato salad, grilled haloumi.

Winemaker Notes

Harvesting the fruit during the cool of the night preserved its freshness and quality. After gently pressing, minimal fining agents maintained the natural vibrancy and structure of the variety. The inclusion of old barrel fermentation with natural yeast strains, along with further maturation on yeast lees, created layering in this wine, generating subtle creaminess to balance the great natural acidity from this vintage. Prior to bottling, we blended, stabilised, and filtered the wine, resulting in a superb food-pairing wine with good length.
